1. Overview
Surat Lace Association (“we”, “us”, “the Association”) collects online payments for memberships, event registrations, and meeting fees through the ICICI Bank Payment Gateway. All amounts are charged in Indian Rupees (INR). This Refund Policy describes the circumstances under which a refund may be granted.
2. General principle
Membership fees, event fees, and meeting fees are generally non-refundable, as they cover administrative processing, allocation of seats or passes, and association services. Refunds are considered only in the specific situations described below.
3. When refunds are considered
- Duplicate payment: If you were charged more than once for the same membership, event, or meeting due to a technical error, the duplicate amount will be refunded.
- Failed transaction with debit: If your account was debited but the membership or registration was not activated or confirmed, the amount will be refunded after verification.
- Event cancelled by the Association: If an event or meeting is cancelled by Surat Lace Association and not rescheduled, the fee paid for that event will be refunded.
- Incorrect charge: If you were charged an amount different from the published fee due to an error on our side, the difference (or full amount, as applicable) will be refunded.
4. When refunds are not available
- Change of mind after a successful membership purchase or event registration.
- Non-attendance or partial attendance of an event or meeting you registered for.
- Requests made after the applicable event or meeting has taken place.
- Membership fees once the membership period has commenced, except as required by law.
5. How to request a refund
To request a refund, email suratlaceassociations@gmail.com with the following details:
- Your registered name and mobile number.
- The ICICI payment transaction reference / order ID.
- The date and amount of the payment.
- A brief description of the issue and the reason for the refund.
Refund requests should be raised within 7 days of the transaction (or of a cancelled event) so we can verify records promptly.
6. Refund processing and timeline
Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method used at the time of the transaction, through the ICICI Bank Payment Gateway. Once approved, refunds are typically initiated within 7 business days. The amount may take an additional 5–10 business days to reflect in your account, depending on your bank, card issuer, or payment provider. We do not charge any additional fee for processing an eligible refund.
